So here are a few tips to help you once you get in work mode. What I love most about these is that they are doable today:
1) Keep it BRIGHT
good lighting is critical to make sure that you are focused and don't get eye strain which can exhaust you. So check out your work area. Would brighter bulbs or a different lamp brighten up the space?
2) Listen to MUSIC
background music has been shown to help you finish task faster. See ya Netflix and hello to Songza!
3) Clear the DESK
A clear desk creates an awesome visual for calmness. So make a point of starting the day with a clean surface. (this is my big thing to work on!!)
4) FINISH one thing
multi tasking is not your friend. Start one task and see it thru to completion. The very act of crossing things off your list will give you momentum.
5) Keep it SHORT
long phone calls and lengthy emails can drain your energy. Know what you want to say and say it. Be to the point, succinct and focused.
